1.  HOW DOES YOURPARALEGAL.COM WORK?

In order to utilize our services, go to our dynamic user-friendly web page (YourParalegal.com).  Our name is our address. If you are a first-time user, you answer a few simple questions, and register yourself so that you can quickly navigate through the site in the future. Once you have registered, you can create new cases, check the status of pending cases, or communicate with the paralegal who has prepared a petition for you.

The process for starting a case with us is actually very simple and will take only a few minutes.  When you wish to start a new case with us, you simply click on the new case icon, and enter some simple information, including your client’s name, the type of bankruptcy to be filed, and go through a short questionnaire concerning certain legal decisions, which you must make as the attorney. Once you have navigated through this interactive questionnaire, you simply click on the submit button, and we will generate a unique fax cover sheet for you which includes the case number we have assigned to this matter.

You then simply take your fax cover sheet, attach the client questionnaire, and attach all outstanding bills, pay stubs, and other relevant documents necessary to prepare the petition and fax it to us via our toll free number (888-597-4572).

Once we’ve received a new case from you, we go to work.  Initially, we will generate a new case report on our website confirming receipt of your new case, and your fax. Then our experienced and highly trained paralegals will prepare your petition and have it available for you within days of your submission. If any information is missing, or if we require any clarifications, we will send you an e-mail concerning the required information. Once the petition is ready, we will forward a copy to you via e-mail. You can download this copy in PDF format, make any corrections or additions you wish, and either print it out and file it, or electronically file your petition.

If your client has forgotten to give you some bills, and you want us to amend the petition, just fax the bills to us and we will make the necessary revisions, without any additional cost to you.

Once you have filed the petition, the only thing that remains is for you to attend the Section 341 creditor’s meeting, and collect your client’s discharge.

2. WHY IS YOURPARALEGAL.COM COST-EFFECTIVE FOR MY PRACTICE?

Whether you file bankruptcy petitions occasionally, or whether it forms the bulk of your practice, you probably don’t realize how much time is spent in the arduous task of preparing the actual bankruptcy petition. Whether all of the data is entered by yourself or your secretary, or whether you have a paralegal dedicated to this task, the cost and expense to you in wasted time and money is incalculable.

YourParalegal.com simplifies the process by allowing you to counsel your clients in the initial interview, determine if they’re suitable candidates for bankruptcy, explain the process to them, and make all necessary legal decisions concerning the type of bankruptcy to be filed, and the other elections to be made in the bankruptcy petition.

You can use our easy to understand questionnaire as a part of the intake process, and simply ask your client to fill in the information before your initial interview, and then fax us the questionnaire along with the bills and other necessary documents so we can prepare the petition for you. Our services allow you to list an unlimited number of creditors at no additional cost to you.

It’s like having your own full-time experienced paralegal on staff, but you need only pay for the work that is actually performed for you. No coffee breaks, no vacations, no health insurance, and none of the other headaches of employing a staff member.

Whether you use YourParalegal.com for every case you file, or whether you use it only for overflow work, you’ll save money with every case you entrust to us.

3. HOW DOES YOURPARALEGAL.COM ENSURE CONFIDENTIALITY?

We recognize that in the practice of law, you are entrusted with client confidences, and must safeguard this information. We respect these requirements, and we have taken all possible steps to protect the confidentiality of the information you provide us. We have a secure Web site, which uses cutting edge technology to safeguard the data transmitted for payment of our fees. Moreover, we have a secure server, which houses the petitions we prepare for you. In addition, once you have approved of a petition we prepared for you, we destroy the data you provided us, and will only maintain the petition for a period of six months in our backup server. This way, you can be confident that no unauthorized person will ever have access to any information concerning your client’s case.

4. WHAT WILL YOURPARALEGAL.COM COST ME?

YourParalegal.com is striving to build a loyal client base that will provide us with repeat business well into the future. To accomplish this goal, we are providing our services at an introductory rate of $100 per case for a consumer bankruptcy case in chapter 7, and $150 for a chapter 13, including plan. It includes an unlimited number of creditors.

In addition, to encourage you to try YourParalegal.com for the first time, we will for a limited time allow all new users to try our services for free for the first case they submit. (Offer limited to one case per firm) There’s no obligation to you to use our services in the future after you try us once.

We can offer this extraordinary opportunity simply because we are convinced that once you have tried our service, and have an opportunity to see for yourself how quickly, effectively, and inexpensively, we can prepare a petition for you, you will become a loyal client.

Once you’ve been spared the tedious work of preparing a petition, you will embrace the practice of bankruptcy law, and will be able to provide more effective service to your clients, without the hassles associated with endlessly entering data, revising petitions, and doing other tedious work that takes you away from the practice of law.

5. IS IT LEGAL TO HIRE AN OFF-SITE PARALEGAL?

Yes !  There is no requirement that all documents prepared for your clients be prepared in your physical office location. Every document prepared by us is to be reviewed and approved by the attorney. Any document prepared for an attorney, who reviews it for accuracy before signing does not violate any unauthorized practice of law (UPL) regulations in any state.

6. IS USING AN OFF-SITE PARALEGAL CONSIDERED “FEE SHARING”?

No, absolutely not! You pay YourParalegal.com the same as you pay a subcontractor, temporary or other off-site employee on a "per job" basis. Our fee is only for services, much the same as when you pay your paralegal a salary. This is not considered "sharing fees" since we are providing a service to your law firm.

7. DO I NEED TO BUY ANY SOFTWARE TO USE THE SERVICE?

No, you can use this service whether or not you have any bankruptcy petition preparation software. When your case is completed, we will provide you with a PDF file, which contains your petition along with any other forms you need for your case. You can read and print the file using Adobe Acrobat software, which you can download without cost. If you wish to modify the file, which is sent to you, you can open it and make changes if you have Acrobat writer. If you do not have this software, we will make changes for you without any additional cost to you. Simply fax the necessary changes to us, and we will send you a revised petition. An added benefit of using our service is that if you only have a few bankruptcy cases, you can avoid spending any money for petition preparation software, which may not be cost-effective for an office with a small volume of cases.

8. AM I REQUIRED TO ADVISE MY CLIENTS THAT I’M USING YOUR SERVICE?

No, we work as paralegals at your direction. Effectively, we are independent contractors, subcontracted to perform services for you. We do not interact with your clients, or otherwise advise them that we are performing these services on your behalf.

9. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY CASE TO BE PREPARED?

We can prepare your case usually within 3 business days of the submission of all necessary information. For example, if you submit a new case to us by the close of business on Monday, and you have included all necessary information to complete the petition, we will e-mail to you your completed case within days. If you have an emergency that requires a quicker response, please advise us when you submit the case and we will try to accommodate you.

10. WILL I BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE INSTRUCTION AND SUPERVISION TO THE PARALEGAL WHO COMPLETES MY CASE?

No, our trained staff is expected to work independent of instruction and supervision from our clients. If there is any further information required from you, we will advise you by e-mail so that you may address the issue. Usually, this occurs when there is some decision to be made on a case, which requires the exercise of your judgment as an attorney. We are not engaged in the practice of law, and we will not make these decisions on your behalf, but will advise you of the issue, and follow your direction. Our comprehensive intake form is designed to streamline the gathering of all necessary information so that there is a minimum of clarification required once the form has been completed and submitted to us.

11. WHY AM I REQUIRED TO ENTER CREDIT CARD INFORMATION AS PART OF THE REGISTRATION PROCESS?

We request credit card information as a part of the registration process so that we can accept a new case from you without requiring you to re-register with us. We will not charge your credit card, until you explicitly authorize us to do so for each and every case you submit to us. We use the highest encryption available from VERISIGN so that the possibility of interception and other misuse of your credit card information will be eliminated. We utilize the services of VERISIGN, a leading Internet credit card processing facility to handle these transactions on our behalf. They store all credit card information on their servers, which are protected by the highest security available for financial data.

By registering with our web site, you enable anyone on your staff to submit a new case to us at your direction, without requiring your personal involvement.
